Spook Creek is located in the center of Whitehorse. The creek and Baxters Gulch have undergone many impacts over the past 115 years. Over the past 30 years hydrocarbons have made their way into the headwater springs, the lower course of the stream have been altered for a shopping center and many pollutants have been added to the creek. The Spook Creek drainage has been the subject of many studies over the past 15 years. These include:
